DEI Ford 556SW Remote Start Bypass

CLEARANCE

The 555SW provides an easy way for interfacing remote start products with the vehicle’s OEM transponder based anti-theft system, while maintaining the integrity of the OEM anti-theft system. Transponder-based anti-theft systems use a very small electronic chip hidden inside the key to send a code to the vehicle’s transceiver whenever the ignition is energized. For this to take place, the key must be placed in the ignition and turned to the RUN position. This energizes a coil surrounding the key, which in turn energizes the chip, which sends a code to the vehicle. If the vehicle does not detect the code being sent, the vehicle will start and then immediately shut off of will just crank and the anti-theft light will flash. The 555FW provides a valid code to the vehicle whenever it is remote started, but does not affect the immobilizer system during normal operation; the immobilizer system remains fully functional.

Notes:

Two separate keys required for programming. Using the same key twice will not work.

556S Ford PATS/Securilock Remote Start Interface Module

Universal proximity key bypass module is a remote start interface used when installing a remote car starter in a vehicle equipped with a hands free proximity RFID engine immobilizer system. This type of system detects the proximity of the factory remote control and allows engine start up by pushing a button on a dash. Push-to-Start and Smart Key are common terms used to describe this type of proximity ignition system. This unique RFID is detected by a receiver antenna in the vehicle which then sends the ID information to the factory immobilizer for authentication. Once an authorized ID signal is received, the immobilizer system will enable the ignition and/or fuel management system. If an attempt is made to start the vehicle and the transceiver does not receive a valid code, the ignition and sometimes the fuel systems are disabled. The immobilizer system effectively prevents remote start up. 1101T provides power to the key and introduces the FOB's authorized RFID only while the Remote Starte system is activated. When the Remote Starte system is not in use the integrity of the factory immobilizer system is maintained and is fully functional.
